MIRA Safety's Full-Featured Evacuation Kit

Bug out or shelter-in-place: this is the perennial prepper’s dilemma.

For when you opt for the former, let this curated loadout be your primary line of defense. Reach first for our CM-6M respirator, which guards against a full spectrum of toxic industrial chemicals (TICs) and chemical warfare agents (CWAs), and can be easily stored in our ultra-durable leg-mounted gas mask pouch.

And of course, no gas mask is complete without adequate respiratory protection. With versatile filter options–including the all-rounder NBC-77 SOF and specialized VK-530 smoke filter–as well as MIRA KI pills, the EvakPak™ will have you covered no matter what comes your way. So gear up and roll out: This kit has got your six.

Key Features

  • The CM-6M Gas Mask can be conveniently stored in drop-leg military pouch, allowing for quick and easy deployment during evacuation.
  • MIRA KI potassium iodide pills provide potentially life-saving benefits when bugging out in the wake of a nuclear emergency.
  • NBC-77 SOF filters repel all known CBRN agents, while the VK-530 provides specialized protection from smoke and carbon monoxide.
  • Crafted from robust bromobutyl rubber, the CM-6M full-face respirator meets CBRN protection standards.
  • Featuring a panoramic full-face design with a spacious visor, the CM-6M gas mask offers an expansive field of vision.
  • The VK-530 filter effectively filters smoke, soot, and hazardous particles during fire-related emergencies.
  • With a vacuum foil-sealed filter, the NBC-77 is suitable for low-oxygen environments, even with as little as 17% oxygen.
  • The NBC-77 filter provides comprehensive protection against NBC threats, safeguarding the user against toxic chemicals.
  • The drop-leg pouch is both comfortable and customizable.
  • Leg-mounted gas mask bag comes equipped with a pre-installed hydration spout and external canteen compatibility.

Kit includes:

  • CM-6M Gas Mask
  • (1) NBC-77 SOF filter
  • (1) VK-530 filter
  • MIRA KI potassium iodide pills
  • Drop-leg pouch - Black

Storage Instructions

VK-530 filters should be stored at 2°C (35.6°F) to 55°C (131°F), with humidity lower than 80%, away from any significant sources of vibration. They should be protected from solar radiation, oxidant agents, shocks, and anything that could make the filters fall down. Do not allow filters to come into contact with ketones, esters, hydrocarbons, acids and strong bases, high pressure fluids, and liquids.

The CM-6M tactical gas mask must be stored in a dark, cool, and dust-free place, free from sudden temperature changes. The storage room should be ventilated regularly. Temperatures may vary between 10°C and 25°C, with a relative humidity of up to 65%.

Note that full-face gas masks must not be exposed to radiant heat or sunshine. Furthermore, fuels, solvents, lubricants, and other inflammable substances–including chemicals–must not be stored with masks. And above all, there must not be any electrical machines or appliances that produce sparks or discharges during operation (ozone creation).

When storing the CM-6M, avoid deformation of the rubber parts of the facepiece and internal CBRN gas mask.

Each NBC-77 SOF gas mask filter is sealed in a plastic bag by the manufacturer. Store the filters unopened in a clean place at an even temperature, ideally at -5 to +30°C, with relative humidity below 80%. Sealed filters also tolerate conditions of -30 to +50°C and RH below 95%. The storage period (month and year) for filters is marked on the filter label. Do not try to regenerate the filters. Never clean the filters with compressed air or compressed water.

Store the drop-leg pouch in a dark, cool, and dust-free place that is ventilated regularly and without sudden temperature changes. Temperatures may vary between 10°C and 25°C, with relative humidity up to 65%. Stored products may not be exposed to radiant heat or sunshine. Fuels, solvents, lubricants, and other inflammable substances may not be stored with the masks, as well as any electric machines or appliances producing electric sparks or discharges during operation (ozone creation).

Avoid deformations of rubber parts of the facepiece and internal mask when storing. Inspect regularly to ensure effective sealing.

Potassium iodide tablets should be stored at 20-25°C (68-77°F), dry and with foil intact.

I haven’t used it but it’s obvious it’s a state of the art gas mask. It’s comforting to know it’s there.

MIRA Safety EvakPak™ Survival Kit Review

The mask is a great fit, has a good seal, is comfortable, and seems to be well-built. It’s unfortunate that other customers didn’t get a complete kit all at once, I definitely did. Perhaps shipping has gotten better. I hope I never need to use any of the items in my order but if I do, I’m glad I have it.
